The model features a pivoting arm from 0° to 60°. The frame design ensures precise and quiet operation. It has a removable chip tray for easy cleaning! Machine characteristics The CORMAK HBS260 horizontal metal bandsaw with a pivoting arm enables cutting perpendicular to the material axis and at any angle within the range of 0° to 60°. The material can be fed manually or by any mechanical device, while the tool feed operates automatically. The blade guides are fitted with special carbide plates and bearings, which have a significant influence on the blade’s guidance, service life, straightness, accuracy and cutting quality. The carbide guidance system greatly reduces machine and blade wear. The machine is equipped with an efficient coolant pump with a closed coolant circulation system. The saw arm is made from a single cast-iron element, and with the use of a 27 mm wide cutting blade, it enables series cutting of both profiles and solid materials. The vice is mounted on an adjustable base and features a quick-clamping system. The blade guides are fitted with hard metal (carbide) plates and rolling bearing systems. These carbide guides are responsible for the cutting precision and straightness. The upper part of the base is shaped as a tray for draining coolant and collecting chips generated during the cutting process. The base is fitted with a cast-iron worktable with a pivoting arm and a control panel mounted on a separate arm. In the cutting process, the main cutting motion is the movement of the cutting blade, while the feed is achieved by lowering the arm. The arm lowering speed (cutting speed) is controlled by a hydraulic cylinder. The feed rate is regulated via the saw’s control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 35 and 70 m/min. When the arm reaches its lower position (after the cut), the drive to the cutting blade is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by blade guards and micro-switches that stop the motor after the cutting cycle or when any guard is opened. Additional protection automatically switches off the bandsaw in the event of blade breakage. Arm swivelling in both directions is a very big advantage in angled cutting. Despite small dimensions, its weight (103 kg) makes it stable and vibration-free during cutting materials. Element cut can be fed manually or via feeding machines. Feed during cutting is gravitational, with oil flow in a two-chamber hydraulic cylinder. Arm lowering control is ensured by a valve controlling oil flow between chambers of cylinder. Straight cut is achieved by a set of bearings guiding the band.
