The laminating machine Bielloni Castello Julia 2 SL is able to process single-component polyurethane (PU) adhesives with 100% solids content (solvent-free). The adhesive is applied using a sleeve system. Dispersion adhesives cannot be processed. The system does not include a drying unit. The PU adhesive is applied to the carton web with heated rollers (approx. 70–90 °C). Bonding between carton and film is achieved by pressure and subsequent self-curing.
